Charged Battery
- It's hard to have a better collegiate debut than that which belonged to Gracie Ellis (Fr., New Kent, Va. / New Kent). Two weeks in and she has already been named ODAC Pitcher of the Week twice. Last week she struck out 12 and a no-hitter against Marymount down in Cary, N.C. and followed up with nine more punch outs in a spontaneous game against Denison.
- Rilee Baughan (Jr., Warsaw, Va. / Rappahannock) has also been incredibly efficient and sports a 0.58 ERA through two starts, No. 3 in the ODAC.
Charged Bats
- The Yellow Jackets have swung for the fences plenty of times already this season and have combined for eight home runs. Baughan has two, while freshmen Kayla Davis (Fr., Powhatan, Va. / Powhatan) and Naomi Sadler (Fr., Emporia, Va. / Brunswick) also have two.
- Baughan has been just as effective at the plate as she is in the circle as she leads the team with seven hits. Her batting average of .636 is fourth in the ODAC and her on-base percentage is a league-best .714. Her slugging percentage is also astronomical at 1.182, second in the conference.
