Box Score 2 ASHLAND, Va. – Junior Rilee Baughan (Warsaw, Va./Rappahannock) allowed no earned runs over nine innings and knocked in the game-winner in the bottom of the ninth in the opener as the sixth-ranked Randolph-Macon softball team split a doubleheader with Stevenson on Wednesday afternoon.

How It Happened: Game 1
- The game was scoreless through seven. Baughan retired the first eight batters she faced and had seven strikeouts over those first seven frames. The Mustangs plated a run in the top of the eighth before the Yellow Jackets answered in the bottom of the inning. With sophomore Olivia Owens (Salisbury, Md./James M. Bennett) on second, senior Sami Davidson (Stafford, Va./Brooke Point) sacrificed her to third and Owens scored on a pinch-hit sacrifice fly by sophomore Sierra Livingston (Dagsboro, Del./Sussex Tech) to make it a 1-1 contest.
- SU sacrificed their runner to third in the top of the ninth, but Baughan got a strikeout and a groundout to keep it level at 1-1. Freshman Amanda Lanyon (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) started the bottom of the ninth on second, moved to third on a passed ball and scored the winning run on a base hit by Baughan.

- Baughan went 9.0 innings with four hits, one unearned run, two walks and nine strikeouts.
- Owens, sophomore Bailey Harifield (Chesterfield, Va./Cosby) and freshman Ellie Barton (Powhatan, Va./Powhatan) all had stolen bases.
How It Happened: Game 2
- After the Mustangs failed to score in the top of the first, the Yellow Jackets rallied in the bottom of the frame. Hairfield had a leadoff triple and scored on a base hit by Baughan. A double by junior Natalie Robinson (Woodbridge, Va./Forest Park) drove home Baughan to make it 2-0.
- R-MC doubled its lead in the second. Livingston had a leadoff single and went to third on a double by Barton. Hairfield delivered a two-run single to extend the advantage to 4-0.
- In the fourth, Barton had a one-out single, stole second and scored on a single by Baughan to put the Yellow Jackets up 5-0.
- After SU got two in the top of the fifth, R-MC got them back in the bottom of the frame. Sophomore Maddy Bates was hit by a pitch, stole second and went to third on a base hit by Owens. A single by Livingston brought home Bates and a groundout by junior Jessica Pittman (Virginia Beach, Va./Kempsville) drove in Owens to give the home team a 7-2 lead.
- SU would score three in the sixth and three in the seventh to go up 8-7. R-MC was retired in order in the bottom of the seventh.
By The Numbers
- Hairfield and Baughan both had two hits, two RBI and a run.
- Barton was 2 for 3 with two runs and had two of the team's seven stolen bases.
- Livingston went 2 for 3 with one run and one RBI.
