The No. 22 Randolph-Macon softball team used a big fourth inning to take charge in the opener before holding off a late rally by the Eagles in the second game. Madie Rhoads recoreded a career-best 12 strikeouts in 5.1 innings in the first game. Ali Celeberti started the second game and helped her own cause with a double and run scored before the Lemon and Black scored two more later in the game and held off the Eagles comeback attempt as they scored two runs in the final inning.

The Yellow Jackets shined on senior day and showed their ability to never give up as they came from behind in the late innings of both games to sweep the Sea Gulls. Olivia Owens brought in the game-winning run of the opener with a single down the left field line to score Madison McLaughlin, while a six-run sixth inning in the second game fueled the win in what ended up being the final game of their 2021 season.

The Eagles' season ended in the consolation bracket of the C2C Tournament against a high-powered Christopher Newport squad. UMW scored its lone run in the second to make it a 2-1 game and kept it that way through three, but the Captains fired off four runs in the fourth and five in the fifth to end the game.
