Box Score ASHLAND, Va. – Senior Josh Talbert (Virginia Beach, Va./Kellam) led all scorers with a season-high 19 points and added four assists, four rebounds and seven steals as the eighth-ranked Randolph-Macon men's basketball team outscored Washington and Lee 84-71 in ODAC action on Saturday afternoon to extend its home win streak to a program-record 51 consecutive victories.

How it Happened:
- Talbert scored off the tap on a pass from junior Daniel Mbangue (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax), and Talbert had the first eight points for the Yellow Jackets as they jumped out to a 10-2 lead with 17:20 left in the first half. After four points by the Generals, two triples by junior Will Coble (Charlotte, N.C./Davidson Day) highlighted a 16-2 spurt as R-MC went up 26-8 with 8:30 remaining. A three-pointer by sophomore Vincent Payne (Frederick, Md./St. Maria Goretti) pushed the advantage to 20 at 33-13 with 7:08 left. W&L scored seven straight points before a trey by freshman Keishawn Pulley Jr. (Louisa, Va./St. Christopher's) ended the streak and put the home team up 36-20 with 4:50 remaining. The Generals cut the deficit to 10 before two layups by Mbangue were sandwiched around a three-pointer by freshman Kyle Keener (Canton, Ga./Sequoyah) as the Yellow Jackets led 43-26 with one minute left. W&L hit two free throws to make the halftime score 43-28. Talbert, Mbangue and Coble all had eight points. The Generals were held to seven field goals but went 12 for 13 from the free throw line. R-MC did not attempt a free throw in the first period.
- Talbert had a steal and a layup to start the second half before an 11-1 run by W&L made it a seven-point game at 46-39 with 16:30 left. A three-pointer by Coble pushed the lead back to 10 at 51-41 with 15:35 remaining. A layup by senior Miles Mallory (Beltsville, Md./St. Vincent Pallotti) extended the lead to 12 at 56-44 with 11:30 left. Two free throws by Mbangue make it 64-50 with 7:10 remaining. The Generals cut it to eight at 69-61 before the Yellow Jackets closed the game on a 15-10 run, with 11 coming at the charity stripe, to make the final 84-71.

- R-MC has won six straight against W&L.
- The Yellow Jackets had four score in double figures. Along with 19 by Talbert, Mbangue tallied 14, Coble added 11 and Mallory chipped in 10. Robinson and Pulley both finished with nine.
- Talbert went 8 for 12 from the floor and hit three from the free throw line.
- Mallory paced R-MC with nine rebounds.
- Mallory recorded one blocked shot. He has 204 career blocks, the most in program history.
- Talbert matched his career high with seven steals.
