ASHLAND, Va. – The Randolph-Macon women's volleyball team looked strong in a Friday night affair, as Head Coach Bill Roger's side cruised to a 3-0 win over Roanoke in the Semifinals of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament.

The Basics:

Scores: No. 4 Randolph-Macon 3, No. 8 Roanoke 0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-22)

Location/Venue: Ashland, Va./Crenshaw Gym

Records: No. 4 Randolph-Macon 22-6, No. 8 Roanoke 13-13

How It Happened:

• The opening set saw Randolph-Macon take control early as Grace Parker (Andover, N.J./Pope John XXIII) was swinging early with nine winners in the frame. R-MC used a strong offensive output to pull away and take the 1-0 lead, hitting .324 along the way.
• Randolph-Macon continued the success from the opening set to the second stanza, as the Yellow Jackets never trailed in the frame. Roanoke made a late run, but Mia Zazzero (Tampa, Fla./Holy Names) and Ashlynn Knot (Clarksville, Va./Bluestone) combined for a late block to push R-MC to the 2-0 lead.
• The third set took another late push for the Yellow Jackets, as the Randolph-Macon offense found seven of the final nine points to complete the sweep. Parker found six kills in the stanza, paired with Milly Mach's (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) nine helpers.

Inside The Numbers:

• Parker led the way for the Yellow Jackets with 21 kills yet again while Leslie Currie (Mechanicsville, Va./Hanover) tallied 17 digs to lead the way on the defensive side. 
• Mach shined at the net as well, as the setter recorded 32 assists in just three sets, giving her 66 in just six sets across the tournament.

Up Next:

• The Yellow Jackets will now make the trip to Danville, Virginia for a rematch with second-seeded Averett as the Cougars took down Washington and Lee on the other side of the bracket. The Championship clash is set for a 12:30 p.m. start Sunday, November 6 at the E. Stuart James Grant Center.
