Box Score WINCHESTER, Va. – The Randolph-Macon field hockey team met the third-seeded Shenandoah Hornets for the quarterfinals of the 2022 ODAC Tournament on Tuesday night. The Hornets found a big second half to advance to the semifinals.

How it Happened:
- Randolph-Macon defended the Hornets well, keeping them off the board in the first half thanks to Kelsey Seiler (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) and her nine first half saves.
- Late in the first quarter, the Yellow Jackets found the back of the cage as Tori Mumm (Forest Hill, Md./Bel Air) netted an aerial off a penalty corner to put R-MC ahead.
- The game hit the intermission with R-MC in the lead 1-0.
- Seven minutes into the second half, SU tied it. They added two more in the fourth quarter to grab the lead and extend it.
- Despite two penalty corners in the fourth quarter, R-MC couldn't push across another goal.
Inside the Numbers:
- Seiler picked up 17 saves in the game, being a force in the cage to keep R-MC in it for a long time.
- Catherine Magill (Moseley, Va./Trinity Episcopal School) assisted on the Mumm goal, which was her fourth of the season.
- Mumm's goal was her first of the season, putting the Yellow Jackets in front early on.
