ROANOKE, Va. – The Randolph-Macon women's volleyball team looked strong in a Tuesday night affair, as Head Coach Bill Roger's side cruised to a 3-0 win over Old Dominion Athletic Conference foe Hollins on the road.

The Basics:

How It Happened:

• The opening set saw Randolph-Macon take control early as a pair of Grace Parker (Andover, N.J./Pope John XXIII) kills set the tone for the Yellow Jackets. R-MC used an 8-2 run early in the set and only gave away five points in the stanza.
• Randolph-Macon continued the success from the opening set to the second stanza, as the Yellow Jackets never trailed after things were knotted up at 11, apiece. The Yellow Jackets ran away with the set to take the commanding 2-0 set lead after finishing the set on a 14-5 run.
• Randolph-Macon would make a statement in the third and final set, as the Yellow Jackets laid claim to 13 of the first 18 points in the set. The Yellow Jackets held Hollins to just 13 points in the closing stanza.

Inside The Numbers:

• Bailey Johnson (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) led the way for the Yellow Jackets with 13 kills, a season high, to pace the R-MC offense. Leslie Currie (Mechanicsville, Va./Hanover) tallied 18 digs to lead the way on the defensive side of the net
• Milly Mach (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) and Laura Walton (Urbanna, Va./Middlesex) both shined at the net as well, as the pair of setters recorded a combined 27 assists in just three sets.
• The Yellow Jackets recorded a season-high 14 blocks Tuesday night while hitting at a .370 clip on the opposite side of the net.
• Randolph-Macon allowed just five points in the opening stanza, the least amount of points surrendered in a set in the campaign.

Up Next:

• The Yellow Jackets have one weekend remaining in the regular season, as they make the trip to Atlanta, Georgia to take part in the Emory Tournament. Randolph-Macon will see Berry on Friday, October 28 before a Saturday twinbill featuring Oglethorpe and Birmingham-Southern comes the next day.
