Box Score ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon women's volleyball used a strong effort in the fifth and final set of the match to complete the comeback bid and best visiting Roanoke, 3-2, as part of Family Weekend festivities on campus. Grace Parker (Andover, N.J./Pope John XXIII) continues her tear in Old Dominion Athletic Conference play, recording 34 kills to tie the school record for kills in a single match.

How It Happened:
- The opening set saw Randolph-Macon take control down the stretch as the Yellow Jackets were swinging with much success, finishing the stanza with a .345 hitting percentage while holding Roanoke to a .027 percentage.
- The second stanza saw Roanoke answer back to knot the match up at a set, apiece. The stanza was tied at 18 all, but the Maroons used a handful of big serves from Peyton Kirchner to close out the set.
- Roanoke found success throughout the third set as well, as Kirchner and Jordan Gorman found success serving once again down the stretch to take the 2-1 advantage.
- Randolph-Macon would be called on to make plays down the stretch of the fourth set to keep the match alive, and they did just that. Ashlynn Knott (Clarksville, Va./Bluestone) closed the set out with two kills to keep the Yellow Jackets in it as the offense found some life.
- The fifth set was a thriller with both teams matching the other as neither team was able to build a lead of more than two until the final few points. Things were knotted up at nine apiece before Randolph-Macon found the final six points of the frame to clinch the match.
Inside The Numbers:
- Parker led the way for the Yellow Jackets with 34 kills, tying a school record, while Leslie Currie (Mechanicsville, Va./Hanover) tallied 19 digs to lead the way on the defensive side.
- Jasmin Hanson (Aspen, Colo./Aspen) and Maddie DeCandido (Virginia Beach, Va./First Colonial) also shined on the defensive side of the net, as Hanson recorded 13 digs to add to DeCandido's 12.
- Mia Zazzero (Tampa, Fla./Holy Names) recorded 10 kills in just 17 swings to impress with a .412 hitting percentage.
- Freshman setter Milly Mach (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) continues to show up in the box as well, amassing 42 assists.
