Box Score WINCHESTER, Va. – Junior Maddie Bauman (Smithfield, Va./Smithfield) connected on a header in the second half as the Randolph-Macon women's soccer team dropped a 4-1 non-conference contest at Shenandoah on Wednesday afternoon.

How it Happened:
- The Hornets scored on all three of their shots on goal in the first half, tallying goals in the 17th, 28th and 32nd minutes of the match to take a 3-0 advantage. SU had a 5-4 edge on shots and 4-1 on corners. The Hornets were whistled for 11 fouls, compared to two for the Yellow Jackets.
- SU added a goal in the 56th minute before senior Casey Kent (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax) sent a long cross to Bauman, who headed the ball in to make it 4-1.
By The Numbers:
- R-MC had 11 shots, including three on goal. Kent led the Yellow Jackets with six shots, while Bauman and sophomore Leah Conrad (Bristow, Va./St. John Paul The Great) both had two. Each of them had one shot on goal.
- Freshman Zoe Long (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) had a pair of saves in the second half for the Yellow Jackets.
- SU had 17 fouls compared to five for R-MC.
