How it Happened:
- The Eagles had the first seven shots of the match before freshman Lora Bertram (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) and sophomore Olivia Owens (Salisbury, Md./James M. Bennett) registered shots on goal in the 14th and 15th minutes, respectively. Bertram had a second shot in the 25th minute before BC netted a goal in the 28th minute to take a 1-0 lead. Senior Jules Heuchan (Tallahassee, Fla./Maclay) had a shot with 16 minutes remaining and junior Gracie Tritt (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) fired a shot with six seconds left in the period as it sat 1-0 at intermission. The Eagles had a 13-5 advantage on shots, but just a 3-2 edge for shots on goal. Sophomore Zoe Long (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) had two saves in the first half.
- BC had two early shots on goal in the second period that were saved by sophomore Abby Cook (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen). From the 57th to 63rd minutes, Bertram and Tritt had shots sandwiched around two shots by senior Maddie Bauman (Smithfield, Va./Smithfield), one of which was on goal, but the scored stayed 1-0. The Eagles would add an insurance goal in the 67th minute to go up 2-0. Senior Tyria Smalls (Fredericksburg, Va./Massaponax) had a shot on goal in the 77th minute and freshman Ava Brackett (Richmond, Va./Camp Hill, Pa.) added one in the 82nd minute, but both were saved. Tritt would have a shot in the 85th minute and Owens would fire a final shot in the 89th minute as the match ended 2-0.

- The Eagles finished with a 23-16 advantage in shots, but the Yellow Jackets had an 11-10 edge in the second half. Smalls, Bertram and Tritt each had three shots for R-MC. Smalls had two shots on goal.
- Cook finished with three saves in the second half.
