Box Score ASHLAND, Va. – Sophomore Ashlyn Knott (Clarksville, Va./Bluestone) paced the victors with nine kills as the Randolph-Macon women's volleyball team beat Hollins 3-0 in ODAC action on Monday evening.

How It Happened
- The Yellow Jackets started Game 1 with a kill by junior Gracyn Draney (Forest, Va./Jefferson Forest) and a pair of service aces by senior Macguire Gubba (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) to take an early 3-0 lead. After HU tallied the next two points, R-MC scored 11 straight, highlighted by three service aces by Madison Warlick and two kills each by Draney, senior Sydney Koch (Raleigh, N.C./Sanderson) and junior Grace Parker (Andover, N.J./Pope John XXIII) to take control at 14-2. The Yellow Jackets were up 15-4 before scoring 10 of the final 14 points in posting a 25-8 victory. Draney led R-MC with four kills and Koch added three. Gubba had eight assists. The Yellow Jackets hit .579, with 12 kills, 19 total attacks and just one hitting error.
- The teams were tied at 2-2 in the second game before a kill by senior Danielle LaRosa (Charlottesville, Va./Albemarle) sparked a 10-1 run as R-MC took a 12-3 advantage. Knott had three kills in the run, while LaRosa added two. Sophomore Bailey Johnson (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) had two service aces. HU had three of the next four points before a pair of kills by freshman Mia Zazzero (Tampa, Fla./Holy Names) highlighted a 4-0 spurt as the home team took a 17-6 lead. HU had the next two points before R-MC finished with an 8-1 run, keyed by two Johnson kills, to take a 25-9 win. The Yellow Jackets hit .560 in Game 2, with 15 kills, 25 total attacks and one hitting error.
- Freshman Laura Walton (Urbanna, Va./Middlesex) would have service aces on the first three points in Game 3 for R-MC. A kill by LaRosa would give the Yellow Jackets a 7-2 lead. HU closed within three at 10-7 before a kill by Knott pushed the advantage to four and sparked a 6-1 run as R-MC went up 16-8. HU scored four of the next five points to trail 17-12 before the Yellow Jackets got eight of the final nine points to secure the match.

- Knott had nine kills, 18 total attacks and one hitting error for a hitting percentage of .444. Junior Jasmin Hanson (Aspen, Colo./Aspen) had six kills, while LaRosa and Zazzero both had five. LaRosa had five total attacks for a perfect hit percentage of 1.000.
- R-MC hit .492, with 38 kills.
- Zazzero also had one solo block and a pair of block assists.
- Gubba had 14 assists, while Walton added 13.
- R-MC had 16 service aces, with three each by Walton, Gubba and Johnson.
