Box Score (ASHLAND, Va.) – 'Moore' goals helped Randolph-Macon defeat Eastern Mennonite in ODAC field hockey action on Wednesday night. The Moore sisters provided two first half goals to give the Yellow Jackets the lead, and the defense kept the shutout in tact to give them their fourth win in their last five games.

How It Happened
- Randolph-Macon struck first midway through the first as Lindsay Moore (Sr., Ashland, Va. / Hanover) deflected a shot by Maria-Teresa Ambrogi-Torres (Sr., Richmond, Va. / Trinity).
- Lindsay's sister Alli Moore (So., Ashland, Va. / Hanover) followed with the second goal in the second quarter. A prior shot by the Yellow Jackets was saved, but the deflection bounced back to Moore who circled around to the left of the goalie and was left with an open goal.
- Ambrogi-Torres provided the third period goal with a hard shot at the top of the circle.
- Bella McNulty (Fr., Midlothian, Va. / Midlothian) then got in the action on a couple of goals in the fourth. She scored the first on a powerful shot after an assist from Tori Mumm (Jr., Forest Hill, Md. / Bel Air) in the 51st minute. Less than a minute later she assisted Mia Kuhnle (Fr., Yorktown, Va. / Tabb) to make the score 5-0.
Inside The Numbers
- Lindsay Moore's goal was the third of her career and her second of the season. She also scored in the win against Meredith.
- Alli Moore's was her fourth, all coming this season. She has now scored points in three of the past five games. It's the second time this season both Moore sisters scored in the same game.
- Gatlin Snyder (Sr., Powhatan, Va. / Powhatan) recorded her fourth shutout with three saves on the evening.
- Ambrogi-Torres' goal was her 10th of the season and the 45th of her career. She leads the team this season with 24 points.
- McNulty has scored both a goal and an assist in two of her last three games.
