ASHLAND, Va. – The Randolph-Macon women's soccer team tallied four goals in the first half on its way to a 5-1 ODAC win over Randolph on Wednesday evening.

How it Happened:

• The Wildcats started the scoring, netting a goal three minutes into the match. The Yellow Jackets answered in the 15th minute as freshman Lora Bertram (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) scored her fourth goal with assists from sophomore Olivia Owens (Salisbury, Md./James M. Bennett) and freshman Kelly Rogers (Crozet, Va./Western Albemarle) to level the score at 1-1. In the 16th minute, Owens broke the deadlock with her fifth goal, assisted by junior Gracie Tritt (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend), as R-MC went up 2-1. Junior Nicole Mills (Colonial Heights, Va./Colonial Heights) tallied her first career goal in the 22nd minute as the lead grew to 3-1. Freshman Lillian Holt (Roanoke, Va./Patrick Henry) netted her first goal in the 35th minute with the assist from sophomore Kristina Pierce (Oak Hill, Va./Westfield) as the Yellow Jackets took a 4-1 advantage.
• Freshman Ava Brackett (Richmond, Va./Camp Hill (Pa.)) finished the scoring in the 76th minute on an assist by senior Tyria Smalls (Fredericksburg, Va./Massaponax) as the Yellow Jackets completed the 5-1 victory.

By The Numbers:

• R-MC had a 26-8 advantage in shots, including 23-4 in the first half. Bertram paced the victors with six shots, while Owens added four.
• The Yellow Jackets had a 9-1 edge in corner kicks.
• Sophomore Zoe Long (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) had one save in the first half. Sophomore Abby Cook (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) added a save in the second half.
