ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon Men's Tennis opened 2020 with a victory as the Yellow Jackets defeated St. Mary's on Saturday afternoon.

Doubles
- In doubles, senior Grant Sarver (Richmond, Va. / Mills Godwin) teamed up with freshman Jake Ferner (Wilmington, N.C. / Hoggard) in what was Ferner's first collegiate match inside a dual. The two were victorious over Jon Gorel and Jack Brandenburg 8-2.
- Juniors Alex Hein (Windermere, Fla. / Windermere Preparatory School) and Erik Moulton (Yorktown, Va. / York) began their third years pairing together with an 8-3 win against Sam Sheats and Liam Pratt.
- Senior Jack Aprahamian (Richmond, Va. / Trinity) joined with sophomore Ryan Aud (Fishersville, Va. / Wilson Memorial) to win 8-2 against Liam Murdoch and Cooper Clark.
Singles
- Sarver began his senior season at #1 Singles, where he spent all of 2019. He defeated Gorel 6-0, 6-1.
- Ferner opened his career with a close match with Brandenburg. The Seahawk was able to win the second and third games however after Ferner won the first set 6-1.
- Hein defeated Sheats 7-5, 6-1 in his junior year debut. Hein was back at #3 Single, where he spent all of 2019.
- Moulton returned to #4 Singles, where he spent much of his freshman year. He won 6-1, 6-0.
- R-MC won sweeps at #5 and #6 Singles as Aud defeated Murdoch in straight sets and junior Dani Recarte (Madrid, Spain / Wakefield School) defeated Justin Karolyi 6-0, 6-0.
