LEXINGTON, Va. – The Yellow Jackets took games in two of their three doubles matches, as well as in four of their six singles matches, in their first match of the 2026-27 season.

Doubles
Winston Chapman (Hampton, Va./Norfolk Collegiate) and
JP Zano (Chesapeake, Va./Great Bridge) led the way in doubles, as they took two games off the Generals.
Evan Holzmacher (Chesterfield, Va./Manchester) and
Karsten Palmer (Swepsonville, N.C./River Mill) were also both able to earn a game at first doubles.
Jayden Alexander (Newport News, Va./Menchville) and
Austin Spencer (Chesapeake, Va./Great Bridge) rounded out the doubles point with a 6-0 final score.

Zano paced the Yellow Jackets, as he took two games in his first set, followed by a game in his second set. Chapman and Spencer joined him as the only other RMC players to tally games in their singles contests.
