LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Randolph-Macon women's soccer team recorded a total of 13 saves in a 3-0 ODAC loss at eighth-ranked Lynchburg on Saturday afternoon.

The Hornets (6-0-1, 1-0 ODAC) had 19 shots in the first half, but could not get on the scoreboard. The Yellow Jackets (1-4-2, 0-1 ODAC) had six saves in the first period. Freshman Christina Newman (Virginia Beach, Va./Kempsville) registered five saves in goal in the first stanza for R-MC.

LC snapped the scoreless tie early in the second half, notching a goal in the 51st minute. The Hornets added a pair of goals in the final 10 minutes to make the final 3-0. The Yellow Jackets has seven saves in the second period. Senior Lindsay Zachman (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) snagged five saves in the second half for R-MC.

Randolph-Macon returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 28, with a home ODAC contest against Bridgewater at 4 p.m.
