ATLANTA, Ga. - The R-MC volleyball team were defeated by Berry College in the final game of the Emory Tournament, 3-1. R-MC finished the tournament 1-3, with the victory over Clarkson yesterday.

Junior Colleen Beaver (Fredericksburg, Va./ Massaponax) led the team in blocks with three. Beaver also had six kills on 12 attacks.

Berry would win the first set 25-23. The Yellow Jackets responded with a dominating 25-15 second set win. R-MC led 18-15 and won seven straight points to take the set.

Berry won the final two sets, 25-21 and 25-13.

Junior Erin Quinn (Morrisville, N.C./ Cardinal Gibbons) recorded a double double with 39 assists and a team leading 25 digs.

Sophomore outside hitter Mariah Clark (Stuarts Draft, Va./ Riverheads) led the offense, recording a double double as well with 17 kills and 11 digs.

In second on the Yellow Jackets for digs, was junior Rebecca McGilvery (Warrenton, Va/ Kettle Run) with 20, she added nine kills.

R-MC finishes the regular season 20-7 and 11-0 in the ODAC. R-MC will host the ODAC tournament quarterfinal game on Wednesday, November 2nd at 7 p.m.
