Box Score GREENSBORO, N.C. - Freshman Kasey Booth (Mechanicsville, Va./Atlee) netted the match's lone goal in the second overtime period as the Randolph-Macon women's soccer team outlasted Guilford 1-0 Saturday evening in the regular season finale.
The Yellow Jackets (6-7-3, 5-4-1 ODAC) will be the No. 7 seed in the upcoming ODAC Tournament and will host the No. 10-seeded Quakers (6-8-1, 3-6-1) in a rematch on Monday, October 31 at 6 p.m. on Day Field in a first-round contest.
Booth came in unmarked from the flank and finished from 15 yards out in the 104th minute for her first collegiate goal. Freshman Gabby Nelson (Clover, Va./Halifax County) had the assist on the game-winning goal.
R-MC held a 14-8 advantage on shots, while each team had five shots on goal. Nelson paced the Yellow Jackets with four shots, while junior Kasey Martino (Centreville, Va./Centreville) contributed three shots. Booth had a pair of shots, both on goal.
Freshman Christina Newman (Virginia Beach, Va./Kempsville) had two saves in the first half, while senior Lindsay Zachman (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) added three saves in the second half and overtime periods.
