ASHLAND, Va. – Freshman Abbie Winkelmann (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg Area) scored in the 35th minute as the Randolph-Macon women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 overtime ODAC decision to Bridgewater Sunday afternoon at Day Field.

Winkelmann finished from the left side on a cross from freshman Hannah Harris (Gloucester, Va./Gloucester) as the Yellow Jackets (4-5-3, 3-2-1 ODAC) led 1-0 at intermission. It was the first collegiate goal for Winkelmann.

The Eagles (11-2-1, 4-1-1 ODAC) netted the equalizer early in the second half. The scored the game-winner 4:05 into the first overtime period.

Freshman Gabby Nelson (Clover, Va./Halifax County) had two shots for the Yellow Jackets, including one on goal.

Senior Lincsay Zachman (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) recorded two saves in the first half. Freshman Christina Newman (Virginia Beach, Va./Kempsville) had three saves in the second half and overtime.

Randolph-Macon hits the road to play a 6 p.m. ODAC match at Randolph on Wednesday, Oct. 19, before returning to Ashland on Saturday, Oct. 22, for an 11 a.m. ODAC Homecoming match against Emory & Henry.
