ASHLAND, Va. – Senior Elizabeth Blanco (Ashburn, Va./Stone Bridge) record five saves as the Randolph-Macon women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Roanoke in ODAC action on a soggy Saturday afternoon.

Blanco registered four saves in the second half after tallying one in the first period for the Yellow Jackets (4-4, 1-2 ODAC).

Following a scoreless first half, the Maroons (5-2-1, 2-1 ODAC) broke through with a goal in the 51st minute that stood up as the lone goal of the contest.

Roanoke held an 18-5 advantage in shots. Senior midfielder Lindsey Hall (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run) and freshman Grace Stewart (Oak Hill, Va./Oakton) both had shots on goal for R-MC.

Randolph-Macon returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 30, for a 5 p.m. ODAC contest at Shenandoah.
