FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - Sophomore Kelsey Stanley (Bumpass, Va./Louisa County) registered 25 saves as the Randolph-Macon field hockey team fell 10-0 at Mary Washington in the season opener for both schools.

Stanley stopped nine shots in the first half and 16 in the second stanza.

The Yellow Jackets (0-1) were held to one shot in the contest. Junior Kaitee Nicholas (Virginia Beach, Va./Tallwood) recorded that lone shot for R-MC in the first half.

Randolph-Macon returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 5, at 2 p.m. against Cedar Crest in Bethany, W.Va.
