Box Score WINCHESTER, Va. – Sophomore goalkeeper Kelsey Stanley (Bumpass, Va. / Louisa County) recorded 11 saves as the Randolph-Macon field hockey team dropped a 3-0 ODAC decision to Shenandoah Wednesday afternoon.
Stanley registered four saves in the first period and added seven saves in the second period to tally her fifth consecutive game with double-digit saves.
The Hornets (6-4, 3-0 ODAC) scored in the 12th minute to hold an early 1-0 lead over the Yellow Jackets (7-4, 1-1 ODAC). Shenandoah added another goal in the 18th minute and held a 2-0 advantage at the break.
The Hornets scored in the 46th minute to claim the 3-0 victory.
Junior Kaitee Nicholas (Virginia Beach, Va. / Tallwood) registered two shots with one on goal. Junior Skyler Seligman (Norfolk, Va. / Granby) and sophomore Victoria Cappadora (Manchester, Md. / Manchester Valley) each added one shot on goal for R-MC.
The Yellow Jackets return to action at home on Saturday, Oct. 10 for a 1 p.m. ODAC contest against Bridgewater.
