Box Score LYNCHBURG, Va. – Sophomore Kelsey Stanley (Bumpass, Va./Louisa County) recorded 17 saves as the Randolph-Macon field hockey team dropped a 4-1 ODAC contest at Lynchburg Saturday afternoon.
Stanley had nine saves in the first period and eight in the second. She leads the ODAC with 212 saves, the seventh-highest mark in conference history.
The Hornets (15-3, 6-1 ODAC) scored in the seventh minute, before senior Kali Carroll (Earlysville, Va./Albemarle) tied it two minutes later on as assist from junior Kaitee Nicholas (Virginia Beach, Va./Tallwood) for the Yellow Jackets.
LC added two goals later in the first half to take a 3-1 advantage at intermission. The Hornets tallied their final goal in the second half to make the final 4-1.
Nicholas led R-MC with two shots.
R-MC concludes the 2015 season with an overall record of 10-8 and a 2-5 ODAC mark.
