FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - Senior Bailey Troia (Virginia Beach, Va./Ocean Lakes) recorded 18 assists as the Randolph-Macon volleyball team dropped a four-game match to No. 19 Christopher Newport Saturday afternoon at the Mary Washington Invitational.

The Captains (7-0) took the opener 26-24 before the Yellow Jackets (4-3) won 25-22 in Game 2. CNU captured Game 3 25-19 and Game 4 25-13.

Trois has registered at least 18 assists in each of the past three matches. She also had seven digs.

Junior Courtney Lowers (Suffolk, Va./Nansemond River) led R-MC with 50 total attacks and 14 kills.

Freshman Samantha Sallade (Newport News, Va./Peninsula Catholic) paced the Yellow Jackets with 15 digs.

R-MC faces No. 11 Eastern in its final UMW Invitational match.
