EMORY, Va. - Junior Courtney Lowers (Suffolk, Va./Nansemond River) recorded 10 kills and added nine digs as the Randolph-Macon volleyball team rolled past Guilford in three games Saturday in ODAC action.

The Yellow Jackets (9-6, 2-0 ODAC) took the opening game 25-17 before an overwhelming 25-4 decision in Game 2. R-MC completed the sweep with a 25-11 win in the third game.

R-MC built an early 12-3 lead to take control of Game 1. The Quakers (3-9, 0-2 ODAC) pulled to within five at 15-10 before four straight points by the Yellow Jackets made it 19-10 on their way to the 25-17 win.

In the second game, R-MC led 9-3 before Lowers served 12 straight points as the Yellow Jackets took a 21-3 advantage before claiming the 25-4 victory.

The Yellow Jackets sprung out to a 9-2 lead in Game 3 and expanded the advantage to 18-6 before completing the 25-11 win.

Senior Bailey Troia (Virginia Beach, Va./Ocean Lakes) paced R-MC with 16 assists and added five digs. Freshman Erin Quinn (Morrisville, N.C./Cardinal Gibbons) recorded 13 assists, while junior Riley Martin (Crozet, Va./Western Albemarle) contributed 11 assists.

Freshman Samantha Sallade (Newport News, Va./Peninsula Catholic) topped the Yellow Jackets with 12 digs.

Junior Addie Cooper (Virginia Beach, Va./Cape Henry) had an amazing .700 kill percentage with seven kills, no errors and 10 total attacks.

R-MC would play Emory & Henry later in the day on Saturday.
