ASHLAND, Va. – The Randolph-Macon men's tennis team won all three doubles points and five of six singles points in posting an 8-1 victory over Lynchburg at the Banks Tennis Center.

The Yellow Jackets (5-6, 2-2) had five players contribute two points each. Senior Michael Baxter (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) won at No. 3 singles (6-3, 6-0) and No. 1 doubles (8-3). Junior Connor Hoerr (Virginia Beach, Va./Princess Anne) took No. 2 singles (6-2, 6-0) and teamed with junior Ira Usry (Columbia, S.C./Hammond) to win at No. 3 doubles (8-1). Usry also won at No. 6 singles (6-0, 6-1).  Sophomore John Adam (Vienna, Va./James Madison) won at No. 4 singles (6-0, 6-2) and combined with freshman Brantley Stein (Virginia Beach, Va./Norfolk Academy) to take No. 2 doubles (8-3). Stein also won at No. 5 singles (6-0, 6-2).

R-MC hosts Division II Virginia Union on Friday, April 4 at 4:00 p.m. at the Banks Tennis Center.
