Biography

As a Junior (2014): All-ODAC First Team #1 Doubles with Michael Baxter...posted an 8-2 record at #1 doubles in ODAC matches...also played #1 singles for the Yellow Jackets.

As a freshman and sophomore... An incoming junior, Byrd was an ITA Scholar-Athlete in 2012 and 2013 as a freshman and sophomore at the University of Mary Washington. He was undefeated in conference play his two years at UMW. Byrd helped lead UMW to back-to-back conference championships during his tenure.

Personal: Byrd was #1 in singles for Warhill High School where he was a four-year captain and named All-Bay Rivers District all 4 years. As a senior he was Male Athlete of the Year and was Wendy's High School Heisman award winner for Warhill High School.  Byrd was also an All-Bay Rivers District golfer for one year.
