WILSON, N.C. – Sophomore John Adam (Vienna, Va./James Madison) posted a straight-set victory at No. 4 Singles in Randolph-Macon's 8-1 loss to Division II Barton in men's tennis Monday.
Adam registered a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Nick Genest of Barton (9-4).
Junior Connor Hoerr (Virginia Beach, Va./Princess Anne) lost a close match at No. 2 Singles. He rolled through the first set 6-0 before dropping the second set 6-2. Hoerr fell 10-7 in the third set tie-breaker
R-MC's match scheduled for Tuesday, March 25 at Mount Olive has been canceled due to inclement weather. The Yellow Jackets (4-5) will take the courts on Thursday, March 27 for a 1 p.m. match at Division II Shaw.
