Box Score ASHLAND, Va.—The Randolph-Macon women's volleyball team looked to cap off a long weekend with a win, only to be sided by Trinity (TX).
The Tigers (7-2) won 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 25, 20) Sunday afternoon against the Jackets (5-3) in Crenshaw Gymnasium. R-MC was out-blocked 12 blocks to 3 and with only 11 errors to the R-MC's 28, Trinity finished the day with a .226 hitting percentage over the Jackets' .067.
Middle-hitter Katie Rossberg (Crozet, VA) had 9 kills on 29 attacks beside 8 kills from sophomore Courtney Lowers (Suffolk, VA). Senior Hillary Jessee (Warm Springs, VA) added 7 kills on 18 attacks. Bailey Troia (Virginia Beach, VA) and Riley Martin (Crozet, VA) supported their teammates with 18 and 14 assists respectively. Senior Marli Dabareiner finished the match with 18 digs.
The Jackets return Wednesday 9/11 at 7:00 PM to begin conference-play against the Hornets of Lynchburg College.
