ASHLAND, Va.—In their first match of the 2013 Randolph-Macon Invitational, the R-MC women's volleyball team topped the Scotts of Maryville College in the first three sets 25-14, 25-18, 25-13.

The Yellow Jackets' senior Hillary Jessee (Warm Springs, VA) had 9 kills on 19 attacks while fellow senior Tori Puryear (Madison, VA) added 6 kills on 16 attacks. R-MC (4-0) capitalized on that momentum with 16 assists from junior Bailey Troia (Virginia Beach, VA) and 9 assists from sophomore Riley Martin (Crozet, VA).

The Jackets out-blocked the Scotts (1-4) 6 blocks to 4. Senior Marli Dabareiner (Hardy, VA) tallied 16 digs while Martin added 9.

The Jackets take on in-conference opponent Virginia Wesleyan at 7:30 PM in Crenshaw Gymnasium.
