FREDERICKSBURG, Va.—Randolph-Macon College's women's volleyball team trumped the Eagles of Mary Washington Wednesday evening at the Anderson Center.

UMW (2-3) took the early command, scoring the first handful of points in each set. Their efforts, however, would fall short to three Yellow Jacket rallies (25-22, 25-21, 25-18).

R-MC (3-0) senior Hillary Jessie (Warm Springs, VA) led the team with kills (10) on 19 attacks. Sophomore Courtney Lowers (Suffolk, VA) tallied 9 kills and 23 attacks on 0 errors while sophomore Katie Rossberg (Crozet, VA) finished with 8 kills on 32 attacks. Senior libero Marli Dabareiner (Hardy, VA) dug 20 of the match's 41 digs.

The Jackets return to match play Friday at 5:00 PM against Maryville as they host the 2013 R-MC Invitational.
