FREDERICKSBURG, Va.—The Yellow Jacket field hockey team fell to Mary Washington (No. 6) Tuesday afternoon 7-1.

The Eagles (5-0) scored within the first 10 minutes of the game, ultimately leading shots-on-goal, 25-1.

Senior Lauren Seal (Orange, VA) scored the lone goal for R-MC in the last minutes of the game. Goal keeper Steph Talley (Bordentown, NJ) tallied 18 saves for Macon while Megan McGowan (Stafford, VA) and Olivia Newman (Orange, VA) added defensive saves respectively. Carrie Jacobs (Orange, VA) finished the day with 4 shots, 2 on-goal.

The Yellow Jackets return home 9/18 at 4:30 PM to begin conference play against Sweet Briar.
