Box Score ASHLAND, Va. – Sophomore midfielder Samantha Tyler (Colonial Heights, Va./Colonial Heights) recorded three goals to lead Randolph-Macon past Randolph 7-2 in ODAC women's soccer action at R-MC Soccer Field.
After the Wildcats (4-12, 1-9) scored in the 11th minute, Tyler tallied the equalizer in the 17th minute. Her second goal came five minutes later to give the Yellow Jackets (6-9, 4-6 ODAC) a 2-1 advantage. Sophomore forward Bridget Panas (Goochland, Va./Goochland), who assisted on the go-ahead goal, found the back of the net in the 23rd minute as R-MC took a 3-1 advantage at the half.
Sophomore midfielder Lindsey Hall (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run) scored in the 48th minute and again in 60th minute as R-MC assumed a 5-1 lead. Tyler beat the keeper in the 70th minute to complete the hat trick and freshman forward Taylor Trace (Gainesville, Va./Battlefield) scored in the 75th minute as the Jackets posted their highest goal total of the season.
R-MC held a 25-10 advantage in shots, including 18-5 in the second half. The Jackets had a 17-6 edge in shots on goal.
The Jackets return to action on Oct. 29 at Shenandoah to conclude the regular season.
