Box Score ASHLAND, VA - Randolph-Macon won big versus Hollins University, 9-1 on Saturday afternoon. Erin Hauser led the Randolph-Macon offense, as she recorded her first hat trick of the season off of four shots on goal. The women improved to 4-2 on the year, while Hollins fell to 2-6 on the season.
Randolph-Macon grabbed hold of the game early and never let up. The Yellow Jackets outshot Hollins, 37-8, including 22 shots on goal. The women also held a 9-0 edge in corner kicks.
Hauser, Lindsey Hall and Meredith Eckles paced the Yellow Jackets offense in the first half. Hall and Eckles connected with Hauser in the fifth and tenth minutes to give the Jackets the early 2-0 lead.
Hall connected again with Eckles just two minutes later for her fourth goal of the season.
In the second stanza, Angela Nelms found Hauser a minute into the half to notch her third goal of the game. Katherine Schwalen also scored the first goal of her career off an assist from Meghan O'Neal. Wren Hoyt recorded her second goal of the season off an assist by Lindsey Hall.
Nikki D'Ambra and Hall also each posted an unassisted goal in the second half. Hall finished the match with three assists and one goal.
The women return to action tomorrow against Sewanee at Roanoke. The match is set for a 1:00 p.m. start.
