Box Score ASHLAND, VA – Randolph-Macon dropped a, 76-55, decision to the University of Richmond in Men Basketball Action Saturday evening in Ashland.
The Yellow Jackets were led by Chris Hamilton who had 12 points off the bench for R-MC. Jamie Robinson had nine points, while Andre Simon had seven.
The Spiders were led by a 14 point, 12 rebound, double-double from Derrick Williams. Wayne Sparrow led all scorers with 15 points, while Kendall Anthony and Darien Brothers had 13 and 12 points, respectively, for Richmond.
A Lindsay jumper with just over seven minutes to play in the first-half broke an 18-18 tie and sparked what proved to a be 21-8 run to close the first stanza and send UR to a 39-26 lead at the intermission.
The Spiders opened the second-half with a 10-2 run to open up a 21 point lead.
Randolph-Macon will open up the regular season on November 15th at Christopher Newport.
