Box Score ASHLAND, VA – The Randolph-Macon College Volleyball team topped NC Wesleyan 3-0 Tuesday night, improving to 14-3 on the season and snapping the Battling Bishops 10 match winning streak.
Mallory Carter led the way for Randolph-Macon with 16 kills, leaving her just seven shy of breaking the school record. The senior also had 10 digs and eight serving aces for R-MC in the win. Jessica Sears, Courtney Lowers and Emily Ortiz all had five winners for the Jackets, while Hillary Jessee and Tori Puryear had four each.
On the defensive side of the net, Marli Dabareiner had 21 digs for the Yellow Jackets Sears (11) and Bailey Troia (10) joined Dabareiner and Carter in double-digit stops. Troia also teamed up with Riley Martin to combine for 35 assists on the night, with 21 and 14, respectively.
NCWC (14-4) was led by Taylor Johnson and Meredith Smith who each had seven kills to lead the Battling Bishops.
R-MC, which won by game scores of 25-16, 25-18 and 25-23 will be right back in action tomorrow evening when it travels to Lynchburg for a key ODAC match. First whistle is set for 7:00 p.m.
