Box Score ASHLAND, VA – The Randolph-Macon Volleyball team tied a school record with its 10th ODAC regular season win with a 3-0 victory over Virginia Wesleyan on Tuesday night.
R-MC, which won by game scores of 25-18, 25-21, 25-19, improved to 19-5 overall and 10-0 in the league. The 2012 Jackets join the 2003 and 2004 R-MC squads that each won 10 matches against league foes. VWC dropped to 19-7 and 8-3 against the ODAC.
Mallory Carter rolled up a match-high 14 kills on the night for the Yellow Jackets. Jessica Sears and Tori Puryear each had six kills, Hillary Jessee chipped in with five and Courtney Lowers had four winners. Setters Riley Martin and Bailey Troia had 17 and 14 assists, respectively for the Jackets.
Defensively, Marli Dabareiner had a match-high 20 digs, while Sears had 12 stops for R-MC. Katie Rossberg had 2.5 blocks for R-MC, while Lowers had 1.5 blocks as well.
Randolph-Macon will be back in action on Thursday when it hosts Randolph in its ODAC regular season finale at 6:30. Prior to the match, the program will honor Carter and Sears as part of senior night activities.
