ASHLAND, VA – The Randolph-Macon Volleyball team improved its record to 18-5 overall and 9-0 in the ODAC with a pair of league wins this weekend at Emory & Henry and Guilford.

Friday night at E&H, R-MC had to rally past the Wasps who came out and took game one from the Yellow Jackets 23-25.  R-MC then took the next two games 25-20 and 25-21.   The Wasps rallied to win game four 27-25, but the Jackets won game five in thrilling fashion 16-14.

Trailing 7-3 in game five, a Mallory Carter kill made it 7-4 and sparked what proved to be a 5-1 run for R-MC, with Carter tying the game at 8-8 with an ace.

With the score 10-10, R-MC reeled off three of the next four points, taking a 13-11 advantage on an assist block by Tori Puryear, Jessica Sears and Hillary Jessee.
