Box Score ASHLAND, VA -- Randolph-Macon won big versus Eastern Mennonite, 8-0 Saturday afternoon. The women improved to 8-5 on the year and 7-2 in conference play.
R-MC recorded their fifth shutout of the year and won by their largest margin of victory since they defeated Emory and Henry, 5-0 on September 15th.
Randolph-Macon grabbed hold of the game early and never let up, dominating throughout. The Yellow Jackets outshot the Royals, 25-1, including 19 shots on goal. The women also held an 11-0 edge in corner kicks.
Erin Hauser led Randolph-Macon, as she scored two goals, one assisted by Meghan O'Neal, and dished out one assist. Her performance in today's contest pushed her past the 100 point mark in her career as a Yellow Jacket.
Meredith Eckles, Kaylee Oliver, Rachel Stewart and Keeley Miller each chipped in with one goal en route to the shutout victory.
Amanda Nelms and Sarah Murphy each posted one goal and one assist, combining for a total of five shots on goal and six points on the afternoon.
The women return to action on the 17th as they play host to Bridgewater College. The match is set for a 4:15 p.m. start.
