ASHLAND, VA – Randolph-Macon scored the game's first 18 points and never looked back as the Yellow Jackets ran their winning streak to 11 games with a 74-45 win over Guilford on Sunday.

R-MC (17-3 / 10-2 ODAC) made its first four shots from the field, taking a 9-0 lead on a Lamar Giggetts jumper three minutes in.

The Jackets extended their advantage to 18-0 on a layup by Adam Desgain with just over 11 minutes to go in the first-half.

GC  (14-6 / 8-3 ODAC) would not score its first points until Josh Pittman drained a pair of free-throws half way through the opening period.    The Quakers did not make their first field goal until the 9:53 mark when a Gabriel Lowder three-pointer made the score 18-5.

After a Pittman jumper made the score 27-14 with just over five minutes to go, R-MC reeled off 11 straight points, extending its advantage to 38-14 on a Desgain three-pointer with four minutes left.

Randolph-Macon shot a scorching 55.2% in the first-half to take a 42-21 lead into the intermission, while GC made just 8-of-30 field goals in the first stanza.

R-MC held Guilford scoreless for the first four minutes of the second half and would open its lead up to 36 on a three-pointer by Desgain that made the score 61-25 with 13 minutes to play.

Desgain led R-MC with 20 points on 7-of-8 shooting and four three-pointers.  Calvin Croskey had 14 points while Lamar Giggetts had 11 points as well.    Dylan Cole grabbed a game-high seven rebounds to help R-MC to a 42-36 edge on the glass.
