SALEM, VA -- Behind 20 points and 12 rebounds from Lamar Giggetts, Randolph-Macon ran its winning streak to 10 games with an 87-62 ODAC road victory over Roanoke Wednesday evening.

R-MC (16-3 / 9-2 ODAC) shot 50.7% from the floor, making 34-of-67 shots on the night.  The Jackets were 7-of-16 from three-point land, led by four trifectas from Calvin Croskey, who had 12 points in the win.   Dylan Cole and Adam Desgain each had nine points, while Jamie Robinson had eight.  Marcus Badger dished out nine assists to go along with seven points and 12 different Yellow Jackets would score in the win.

The Yellow Jackets defense played a major role in the victory, forcing 24 Roanoke turnovers, which led to 31 points for R-MC.    The Maroons were 19-of-48 (39.4%) from the floor and just 1-of-10 from beyond the arc.  Roanoke converted 22-of-33 attempts from the foul line.

With the score 26-21 with just over five minutes to play in the first-half, R-MC was able to put together a 13-5 run to close the opening period, leaving the floor with a 39-21 advantage after Robinson drained a jumper as time expired.

After Desgain hit a three-pointer on the opening possession of the second-half, Roanoke reeled off nine straight points, cutting the R-MC lead to 42-35 with 18 minutes to play in the game.

The Jackets responded with seven unanswered points of their own, pushing their advantage back to 14 points when Giggetts made a jumper with 16 minutes to play.

A bucket by Roanoke's Kwasi Amponsah with 11:02 to play made the score 62-48 in favor of R-MC.  The Yellow Jackets would then go on a 16-3 run that was capped by a three-pointer by Giggetts with 7:18 to go in the game.

Roanoke (5-13 / 1-8 ODAC) got a team-high 19 points from Amponsah, while Daniel Eacho and Logan Singleton each scored eight in a losing effort.

Randolph-Macon will be back in action on Sunday when it hosts Guilford in a key ODAC game.  Tip-off is slated for 2:00 p.m. in Crenshaw Gym.
