After a scoreless first half, Bri Eilman found the back of the net for the Quakers in the 65th minute. Both teams battled for the remainder of the contest with Randolph-Macon getting several opportunities to tie the contest.
With just 15 seconds left in regulation, Guilford was awarded a penalty kick. Gabrielle Lahowitch converted the PK to give the final score.
Amanda Nelms led Randolph-Macon with two shots in the game. Sarah Levitt paced Guilford with two shots in the match.
Cecilia Quinonez played her first complete game in goal for R-MC, recording a season-best four saves on the day.
The Quakers outshot the Yellow Jackets, 11-6 on the afternoon, including a 6-1 edge in shots on goal.
Randolph-Macon returns to action Wednesday, October 5th as they travel ODAC member Bridgewater College. Kick-off is set for a 4:00 p.m. start.
