BRIDGEWATER, VA – The Randolph-Macon Men's Basketball team surrendered just 15 points in the second half to erase a halftime deficit and secure a 75-49 victory over Bridgewater on the road Saturday in ODAC action.

No. 11 Randolph-Macon is now 12-2 on the season and improves to 5-1 in the ODAC.  Bridgewater drops to 5-8 overall and 1-3 in the league

After making just 9-of-26 shots from the field in the first half, which included a 2-for-11 clip from behind the three-point line, the Yellow Jackets found themselves down 34-30 at the intermission.

Down 38-35 with 16 minutes to play, the Yellow Jackets went on a 14-0 run over the next 5:52 with Brandon Braxton putting the Yellow Jackets out in front 49-38 with a jumper.  

After a Rashad Moore bucket cut the R-MC advantage to 49-40, the Jackets put the game away by scoring 20 of the next 23 points with a Braxton make pushing the R-MC lead to 69-43 with 4:26 to play.  

The Jackets, who would see their lead grow to as many as 30 down the stretch, held Bridgewater to just 15.6%  shooting in the second half, allowing just four made field goals on 26 attempts.

R-MC was led by Braxton who had a game-high 17 points, 13 of those coming in the second half. Braxton was joined in double digits by Danny Jones who had 14 points, while Lamar Giggetts and Adam Desgain each had 13 off the bench for the Jackets.   

Giggetts also snared eight rebounds in the win, while Braxton and Desgain each had seven boards.

Rick Maloney and CodyGriffith each scored 11 points for the Eagles while Maloney also added 10 boards.

Randolph-Macon will return to action on Wednesday when it hosts No. 10 Eastern Mennonite in a key ODAC game in Ashland.  Tip is slated for 7:00 p.m.
