ASHLAND, VA – The Randolph-Macon Women's Soccer team earned its first win of the 2010 season with a 1-0 victory over Ferrum on Saturday.

Brittany Jones tallied the lone goal of match in the 37th minute when she finished a scoring strike that was set up off a pass from Ashley Lambers.

China Bradley earned the shutout in net for R-MC, making five saves including a pair down the stretch to secure the victory for the Jackets.

Randolph-Macon outshot the Panthers 14-8 and held an 8-4 edge in corner kicks.

Randolph-Macon will return to action on Friday when it travels to the NC Wesleyan Tournament, where they will take on the Battling Bishops at 3:00 p.m.
