Box Score Christina Fernandes scored twice as the Virginia Wesleyan got
past Randolph-Macon Women's Soccer 4-0 in Ashland
Wednesday.
Fernandes put VWC on the board in the 15th minute
when she netted a Jessica Edelman pass.
The Marlins struck again five minutes later to take a 2-0 lead
into the half.
Randolph-Macon played solid defense throughout most of the first
half but Virginia Wesleyan scored two goals late to finish with a
4-0 win.
VWC outshot R-MC 18-4 and held a 9-3 advantage in corner
kicks.
The Yellow Jackets return to the field Saturday, October
2nd when they travel to Guilford College for a 5:00 ODAC
contest.
