Box Score 2 ASHLAND, VA - Reigning ODAC Player of the Week Jessica Sears
recorded a total of 31 kills and 23 digs on the day as the
Randolph-Macon Volleyball team topped Piedmont and Peace in the
first day of the 2010 Greensboro College Invitational. R-MC is now
6-0 on the young season.
Sears tallied 15 kills and 11 digs in R-MC's 25-18, 25-16, 25-17
over Piedmont to start the day. Raena Winton added
eight kills, while Mallory Carter
added seven kills and 11 digs in the Jackets win as well. Mallory James
recored a total of six blocks, while Marli
Dabareiner had 14 digs as well.
Randolph-Macon closed out the day with a 25-22, 25-18, 25-16
victory over Peace. Sears stuck for 16 kills in the night cap,
while setters Sam
Block and Courtney
Anderson had 18 and 16 kills, respectively for R-MC. Casey West had two
blocks on defense, while Sears had 12 digs to lead the Yellow
Jackets.
R-MC will close out the tournament with a match against host
Greensboro at Noon, then will face Guilford at 4:00 p.m.
