Box Score WASHINGTON, DC – The Randolph-Macon Volleyball team opened
up its 2010 campaign with a 3-0 road victory over Marymount
University Wednesday night in the Nation's Capital.
The Yellow Jackets topped the Saints by game scores of 25-15,
25-18 and 25-8.
Eleven different Yellow Jackets recorded kills in the win, led
by Jessica Sears' 12. Tori Puryear had seven kills, while
Raena Winton, Mallory Carter and Morgan Hymes each had six kills as
well. Setters Courtney Anderson and Sam Block had 12
and 11 assists, respectively.
Sears also led the defense with a team-high 12 digs, while
Anderson chipped in with 11 stops and Marli Dabareiner had 10
digs as well
Randolph-Macon will be back in action on Saturday when it hosts
a tri-meet with St. Mary's of Maryland and NC Wesleyan. R-MC will
take on SMC at 11:00 am and then will face NCWC at 3:00.
