ASHLAND, VA – No. 6 Christopher Newport knocked off Randolph-Macon in volleyball action Tuesday night in Ashland. The Captains won by game scores of 25-17, 25-22, 22-16 to improve to 19-1 on the season.

R-MC (13-2) was led by Mallory Carter's eight kills, while Raena Winton added six and Courtney Anderson dished out 16 assists on the night. Marli Dabareiner paced the defense with 16 digs.

The Yellow Jackets will be back in action October 11 when it hosts Eastern Mennonite at 7:00 pm.
