ATLANTA – The Randolph-Macon Volleyball finished the Emory Invitational, 3-1, improving their record to 22-7 on the year and in the process sending head Coach Bill Rogers to the 200 win milestone.

Rogers has been on the sidelines for R-MC for the last nine seasons.  During that time, R-MC has compiled a 201-90 (69%) overall record and a 78-17 (82%) mark against ODAC foes.  The Yellow Jackets have posted 20 or more wins in eight times since 2002 under Rogers' direction.

Rogers spearheaded the most successful season in R-MC history in 2009, leading R-MC to a school record 28 wins, the program's first ODAC Championship and the Jackets' first trip to the NCAA tournament.

At the Emory Tournament, R-MC lost to the host Eagles 3-0, who are ranked fourth in the Nation to start Saturday before closing out the tourney with a 3-0 over Maryville.

R-MC played the perennial National power EU tough losing three close games 25-19, 25-23, 25-23. 

Jessica Sears led R-MC with nine kills with Mallory Carter chipped in with seven and Sam Block had 18 assists.    Carter added 13 digs defensively, while Sears also had 11 stops.

In the win over Maryville, Raena Winton paced the offense with 13 kills, Carter and Sears each had eight in the win.  Block had 18 assists, while Sears and Marli Dabareiner each had 17 digs defensively for R-MC.

For their efforts, Sears and Carter were named to the all-tournament team.

Randolph-Macon will be off until Friday when it will travel to Hollins for the 2010 ODAC Tournament where it will take on seventh-seeded Bridgewater at 4:00 p.m.
