Box Score Despite 21 saves from R-MC keeper Nicole Woodworth, Lynchburg
rallied for three goals in the second half to get past
Randolph-Macon Field Hockey (9-5 / 3-1 ODAC) in Ashland on
Tuesday.
Kelli Williams broke a scoreless tie with a goal in the
25th minute on a pass from Lindsay Leonard to give
Lynchburg a 1-0 halftime advantage.
The Hornets used a goal from Haili Hartman and two goals from
Jenny Weir in the second half to pull away for the 4-0 win.
Jackets' goalie Nicole Woodworth stopped a career high 21
shots while Hornets keeper Tiffany Frye made one save.
Lynchburg outshot Randolph-Macon 41-2 and held a 23-5 advantage
in penalty corners.
Randolph-Macon Field Hockey will be back in action Saturday,
October 16th when they travel to Bridgewater College for
a 1:00 ODAC contest.
